I just finished listening to a book titled "If You Tell: A True Story of Murder, Family Secrets, and the Unbreakable Bond of Sisterhood" by Gregg Olsen about murderer Michelle Knotek. Shelly, as she was called, made "Mommie Dearest" look like Mother of the Year! I usually don't read true crime, but it was on sale, so I bought it on Audible.
Not only did Shelly torture her own children, but as a bully, she preyed on outsiders who were weak. The book goes into graphic detail of the abuse and torture Shelly inflicted over years and yet no one noticed! It was shocking that several of her murder victims were "friends" that she invited to live in her home. These adults just could not break themselves free and leave. I was flabbergasted at what they put up with, but that's how bullies work.
Shelly intimidated her weasel husband to do her bidding and he believed every lie she told. She was the consummate bully and proved that bullies can be anywhere... or anyone. If you like true crime and have the stomach for it, I recommend this book!
